Using EN1822-5 Test Standard, Blue Heaven Technologies Validates G200’s Superior Efficiency on Both High and Low Fan Speeds

July 19, 2021 - Wakefield, Mass. -- Celios, a company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of advanced air purification technologies, is pleased to share the findings from Blue Heaven Technologies’ assessment of nine leading air purification technologies currently available on the market. The Celios G200 Advanced Air Purifier was ranked as the best filtration technology by a wide margin when measuring air coming directly out of the device. This test method provides a real-world measure of a device’s effectiveness, accounting for both the quality of filter material used and the airtightness of the unit’s construction.

“As we begin to emerge from the unknowns of the pandemic, we can once again focus on why we originally developed the G200 Advanced Air Purification Technology -- to help those who suffer from airborne irritants like allergens, mold and pollutants,” said Brian Packard, CEO of Celios. “People now have a much better appreciation of the invisible dangers that can lurk in the air, and a newfound understanding of why ultra-high air filtration is critical in small spaces where people congregate - like classrooms, offices, and clinical settings. Today’s findings from Blue Heaven validate our years of hard work to create a world-class air purifier that stands on its own in purifying the air.”

Standout features of the Celios G200 independently verified by Blue Heaven include:

  • Achieved first-pass filtration efficiency (measuring air directly out of the device) of over 99.99% for both high and low fan speeds. Competitors ranged from just 13.86% to 98.41%, often with far lower efficiencies at higher fan speeds
  • When compared to the Celios G200’s first-pass efficiency, leading competitors leave behind dramatically more particles in the air: from 200 to 11,180 times more

Bob Burkhead, President of Blue Heaven Technologies, LLC, commented, “The rating system in EN 1822 has been embraced globally as an easily understood and effective tool to make decisions related to high efficiency filter performance. This includes applications like clean rooms and room air cleaners. It is a structured and easily defendable methodology with a strong history in the medical/pharmaceutical and semiconductor business segments.”

With efficiency up to 3,000 times more effective than HEPA standards, the G200 efficiently captures ultrafine particles, allergens, pollen, mold spores, VOCs, bacteria, and viruses. It is also effective at capturing the SARS-CoV-2 virus (1), the virus behind COVID-19. Celios provides ultrafine filtration of the air’s most dangerous particles, down to 10 nanometers in size, while generating no odors or by-products.
